Decision Point (Through out this time,we lived min NY away from our family and close support system. Since I was going to get a 4 month chemo treatment and needed all the support and help I could get especaillly with the babies, we decided to make a move from NY to Flor): Although it has been the right thing to do, we had to make some pretty fast decisions in less than 3 weeks and temporarily move in with my family, arrange for extra help with the babies, not to mention our jobs, friend and life in NYC

Other Care (Egg Preservation): Since Chemo was not an option, one of the side effcts we faced was potential inferility. We then decided to freeze my eggs to give ourselves the option in a couple of years from now.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I just started chemo about a week ago and so far I have felt ok. I am nervous of what's to come espcially as I want to be there as much as I can for my 5 month old babies. I also need to distract myself with other positive experiences and keep myself challenged.

Oh No (One month and a half after my babies were born, I had a biopsy which revealed it was cancer): I was in shocked and coud not believe this was happening to me. I have always been a healthy 32 year old and had the rest of my life to look forward with my babies. Luckily, additional tests revealed that the cancer was contained in my lungs and the recommendation was to remove the lower lobe of my lung.

Procedure or Surgery (Lobectomy): After the surgery, I was told that I needed to get chemo as a preventative action. I was dissapointed but I knew it was the right thing to do especially because of my babies.

Oh No (Unknown mass in my lungs): Right after my c-section, I complained about some chest pains. After several tests and a CAT scan, doctors accidentally found a mass in my right lung. While at the hospital, I was tested for TB, pneumonia and other dieases. Doctors throught it was an infection and recommended to follow up wth a pulmonologist. I didn't care that much, I was happy to go home with my babies.
