I, too, have nsclc. I had robotic, thoracotomy resection in Nov 2017. In April 2018 it reoccurred in paratracheal lymph node. Now stage 3. I entered clinical trial with 2 doses of Keytruda. Shrank tumor from 1.7 to .6 and open thoracotomy cancelled. Started 30 radiation treatments along with carboplatin and alimta. Long 6 weeks! I am now on the immunotherapy Imfinzi ever 2 weeks for a year. Trying hard to beat this ‘ugly’! Hugs to you. Hang in there!!

No! I'm not on chemo radiation for a year -- just for 7 weeks.
My concern: I was afraid being on the Imfinzi for a year would be like being on chemoradiation for a year.
You say "very mild." Best news I've had this week!

Go for it! Get on it ASAP after you finish chemoradiation. Studies show it works better the sooner you start. Remember regular Claritin (not D) for aches, headaches, itching. This stuff mild but Claritin works wonders. Keep a log and you will start seeing the flow of things. First few days after infusion I have a nap which helps big time. Keep in touch and let me know.

Tuesday Feb 12th was a big day.
Catscan was done to check for blood clotting and/or infection in lungs. No clotting or infection but catscan shows that at end of 3rd week chemoradiation has not contained growth of cancer in nodule nor in two affected lymph nodes. Cancer has increased, not spread, thank God, but increased.
We've taken surgery, lobectomy, off the table. Given the data the risk of surgery is too high -- odds are high enough that during surgery complications could arise requiring removal entire right lung. Given my condition I would have a 40 chance of dying in hospital if the entire right lung were removed.
So onward! Additional two weeks of chemoradiation, 7 total, wait, catscan, see what's what and go from there.
The tape in my head has been playing "This Happens to Other People, Not Me" but that tape is fading fast. Reality strikes and she is a real bear.
What a crazy ride. Kind of a blend of Kafka and a Mad Max movie.
