Hi. My name is Mary and I just had the cyber knife procedure done January 16th and I am so pleased with the results. I was having problems with my sight, double vision and focus, headaches and just felt a pressure in my head. They called me before I got home after the MRI I had on January 10th and told me to come back to the hospital to see the radiologist oncologist because they had seen a spot in my brain. I also have stage IV lung cancer and have been taking chemo off and on for almost 4 years, so they feel 90% sure it is the lung cancer that has gone to my brain. On Tuesday 14th I had a mask made for my head and more exrays and another MRI of my head so they could map the radiation. On Wednesday I saw a neurosurgeon who was there when the procedure was done. Then Thursday, I had the procedure. Mine only lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. You do not feel anything. I had my eyes closed when they made the mask so I couldn't see anything but I could hear the machine moving around me. I was a little tired that afternoon but felt fine. They put me on steroids as soon as they did the MRI and they helped with the swelling and I was already feeling better. If you want to know anything else just let me know. I hope and pray you will have as good results as I did. God bless and keep fighting!
