Thank you all! I love your spirit! This site and the wonderful folks that participate helped me so much, especially through the early stages of my fears. I always remembered the amazing folks, like Greg and many others that have been through so much, and yet kept going and did so many wonderful things! It got me through the rough spots to know these things, to hope. I realized one day early on, that when I was diagnosed, I had two options... 1. Give up 2. Move on and let this teach me and make me a better person... I, like many others, chose the later! Let's pass it on to others who just got hit with this and need to know there is something much better for them! Love and Light to all!

Congratulations, debco148 on getting your Zumba license! That's really awesome.
You tell people basically the same thing I tell them. When I found out I had cancer, I'd just retired with plans and moved. I thought about all of this and it came down to I had 2 choices. 1. Suck it up and deal with it so I could enjoy retirement or 2. I could sit in a chair, mope and wait to die. I chose option 1 like you did.
I've enjoyed my retirement to the fullest in spite of cancer. Like you, I've become a stronger, better person. Many people have told me I'm an inspiration to them. If I can help others, that's great. But to me, I'm just being me.
I've gone above my hopes and dreams for retirement in that I was blessed to be able to rehab a horse who had had a serious injury and needed somebody to work with her. In return, I've gotten to ride for free and have a strong bond with a beautiful horse and really wonderful people where I ride. I also work with rescue horses, work out at the Y and do photography for Longwood Gardens. These things I had planned ahead of time. Riding has been an extra blessing and bonus.
I see you're from West Chester. I'm in West Grove. If you had radiation, I bet we even went to the same place in West Chester. We're almost neighbors!

Jesse0218 I love your story! Wow we live so close! My daughter is the horsewoman in our family, she has been riding since she was 3! Now 31. Have you also been a part of Unite for Her? I am an ambassador, and I've promised them a Zumbathon, but thought the best way to give back is just organize it myself.. just needed my license! I also work at our local gym ACAC and do other work as well. I'd love to come see the horses.. is there a way you can private message me?
