When I was diagnosed, I felt caught up in a hurricane. So much goes on, such a new language( all the medical terms), the tests, the scans, the unknown. Write questions down all the time. When time for appt, go thru and organize and take to appt. You will be more in control and more comfortable with this ‘new world’ of cancer. It is a journey with twists and turns but doable. Hugs!

Late to seeing this. My husband did chemo and radiation together in2015. He was told to use Lansinoh cream which is for breast feeding moms. It worked great and he never got burnt with his 30 treatments. He was also told to use Dove unscented soap and nothing else. He did get fatigue but we expected it with the double whammy. We did see other patients coming in and leaving dressed to go to the gym or to work.

Thanks everyone for your support. I had my lumpectomy on 1/19/21. My treatment has been delayed. I had a seroma that was drained but then the wound opened and now waiting for it to heal before I start radiation. I will post on the questions page. Take care everyone and god bless you all.

Sending you lots of support Dee. I hope your seroma gets healed soon so you can move forward with treatment. I know you may not be looking forward to treatment, but the sooner you start- the sooner you finish.

We are all here for you.

I know it's scary! I was diagnosed in 2018 and went through a full year of treatment. I hope you have a close friend or spouse to help you through all of this.

Yes, it *is* overwhelming and scary. Hang in there, Dees. You can do this - you really can. Even if you don't have an actual question you can post something on the "QUESTIONS" page just to let out your feelings if you want. I think more people see it there than if you just post it on your own page - just my opinion. Anyway, everyone understands. We're here to support each other. Please take care and be gentle with yourself. Write any time.

@Bug, I definitely agree- more people seem to see thing in the Questions section. Most people use it more Comments more than Questions.
@Dees- please come to us with any questions, fears, good news- whatever. We are all part of the "C"lub here. It's the membership none of us ever wanted, but boy do we have a strong fellowship here.
