I definitely would go for a second opinion. I don't have the same type of cancer as you. I went for a second opinion yesterday and was told by the oncologists there"I am not convinced you have large B-cell Lymphoma" Wait.... What??? My initial chemo was to begin today!!! Now waiting for the 2nd opinion MD to bring my case to a conference and get me an accurate diagnosis. I am an RN and have always told my patients to get a 2nd opinion. Thank goodness I took my own advice! Keep us posted

I think a second opinion is a good idea. Have you considered the newer 3-dimensional mammogram? Three years ago, my sister waited 6 months and still no cancer.
I had an MRI for the right breast and it found a cancer tumor (stage 1 N0) in the left breast. The MRI report said the right side didn't have a tumor and the biopsy agreed.

I think a second opinion is a good idea, but also ask your onc why he recommends waiting. Does he think it is scar tissue?
