I just finished my first round of BCG treatment. Next round is set for January. My doctor used a numbing jell, it was irritating and slight burn but not super painful .
The BCG itself for me was ok for the first couple weeks then had some minor but annoying side effects. Some bladder leakage , cramps but made it to work everyday. One thing that helped me was to take some tylenol because I got flu like symptoms the first night after each treatment.
Hope this helps it hasn't been fun but not as horrible as I was expecting . I would check with your provider before taking anything including over the counter medications. Even Tylenol
      and vitamins .
Another thing I did was move around some every 15 minutes to fully coat the bladder.
I also cut back on liquids a couple hours before procedure ( made it easier to hold for 2 hours )
Amazing when they say try to hold this for 2 hours you want to go after 2 seconds but I made it every time. Good luck and keep in touch
Hope this helps. If there is any thing I can help with please don't be afraid to ask

I wish you smooth sailing with chemo treatments. You will get through it. The unknown is hard. Sending you positive thoughts.

I had those days too, I would get so mad at things it would start to boil over and the family would get the brunt of it, and that's not fair. Hope you get out of it soon. I seemed to have waves.
