Other Care (Hospitalization): Routine scans showed a lesion on Mom's spine that was suspicious for a tumor. She was hospitalized for another week but this time was on the oncology floor (as opposed to the surgical care floor) and had a much better experience with much friendlier staff.

Other Care (Palliative care): Mom was hospitalized in January for palliative care as she was experiencing a lot of pain. After about a week, she was released.

Side Effects (Depression/Anxiety): Mom's most prevalent side effect has been depression and anxiety. She was always a bit of a homebody, but the cancer made her into almost a full-on agoraphobe for the first few months after the diagnosis.
She dropped a lot of weight after starting treatment and lost her hair with this last round of chemo.
She got very forgetful and her hearing has gotten bad.about 10 years ago
