Side Effects (Lymphedema): I only had 3 nodes removed in my original surgery. However, in June, 2012, I was diagnosed with lymphedema in my left upper arm. I now wear a compression sleeve when exercising, or using my arm during activities such as cleaning, etc.

Celebration (Tattoos!): Instead of getting nipple reconstruction, I found a great tattoo artist and did flowers on my new breasts in January of 2012. Best feeling ever...totally changed my outlook of my body.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): I had a revision surgery in October, 2011 to correct the placement of the left implant. This surgery left everything looking as it should.

Procedure or Surgery (Breast Reconstruction (Implant)): I had my first recon surgery to implants in April of 2011. It was relatively smooth, and I was happy with the implants - at least the feel of them. I was not happy with the placement of one implant (on my left - cancer - side). I had to wait for things to "settle" to schedule another surgery.
