Sending prayers for you and your friend "Debra". Try to be there for her when she needs it, you can help her too her because you're a little farther along. Have Debra join What Next, there are so many wonderful people here, I wish I found this site at the beginning of my journey. I don't know much about radiation but I do know it's more accurate than ever as to how it's delivered. You should feel blessed and not guilty it was found early! I first had stage III-C colon cancer. It was removed and I had 6 rounds of chemo. About 17 months later I went for a body scan to make sure everything was OK so I could get my port removed.

The next day I received a phone call from my oncologist and was told I had a tumor on my ovary. More tests and surgery and was told I was at stage I-C. At first I didn't feel lucky or fortunate at the time. All I felt was I had cancer again...it had nothing to do with the colon cancer. I was so upset but everyone I spoke with and through my research, Hardly anyone is diagnosed at stage I Ovarian Cancer. There were two problems. My tumor broke when it was being removed and the tumor grew through one lymph node and could not tell if it could spread to others. It was decided I had to have at least 6 chemo treatments. I had some problems and they adjusted my chemo cocktail.

I am happy to say it's been almost 6 years since the colon cancer and almost 4 years since the ovarian cancer! Please be positive! You're fortunate and blessed to be here at What Next!

Thank you so much. Debra is still waiting to hear back about her biopsy. I am talking to her about joining our "what next" family. I believe she will. I told her she will find alot of good people here.
