Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): He started chemotherapy on the 30th of May. He was supped to start ten days before but got a fever so they pushed it back. Minimal side effects. One day of cold sensitivity in his left hand. Extremely minimal nausea/stomach upset and a minor sore throat.

Celebration (PET Scan results): His cancer had not spread! Only two lymph nodes reacted slightly besides the 4cm. mass on the head of his pancreas.

Decision Point (Chemotherapy): We saw the oncologist May 8th where they did blood work and said they needed to do 5fU for 2-4 months. The CA 19-9 had dropped to 5,400 after ten days of Essiac. My husband decided to do chemotherapy.

Decision Point (Surgery or chemo or natural?): On April 25th we went to MUSC. They had us waiting in the room for hours which exhausted my husband and when they came in they really pushed the chemo before surgery. They said his CA19-9 was almost 12,000! That he was covered in microcells and the cancer must be spreading fast and getting ready to show metastasis very soon.
