Not strange at all. Cancers are identified by their original site. So if you had breast cancer even many years ago, and it has now metastasized to your bones (which is what stage 4 means) it is still a breast cancer recurrence.

One of my friend's mother had breast cancer - the doctor's never found any evidence of the primary tumor or site. All cancers are sneaky little devils, and every person and occurrence is different, most follow some known pattern, but that stills leaves a heck of a lot to "break the rules". Sending you prayers and healing vibes.

Breast cancer goes to lung, bone and/or liver. Don't know why. That is the normal thing thow.
