I am a adenocarcinoma Esophagus survivor of 3 years. Are you getting chemo and rad now post surgery? I had my chemo and rad pre surgery. I had a rough go of it and still struggle with post chemo effects, weakness, and eating difficulty. Have to make eating a life quest to keep healthy and weight on. I eat a small amount every two hrs. I drink on and off all day to keep hydrated.
I do not drink with meals so to get enough nutrition. But I am much better than three years ago as I was on a feeding tube for a full year or more due to complications of the first surgery.
Pray daily walk with my dog twice daily about 3 miles a day.
Am active in ministrys with the church and go to a good Cancer Support group. The Support group really helped me it was not depressing or sad it was supportive and uplifting and found common bonds even though the group has members of all types of cancer and has different experiences to share. I will pray for you and your fight. Keep positive and enjoy this beautiful world God has given us. Now is your time to take in and see what we never did see with the business of working and raising family.

Being stage IV I am taking FOLFOX (FU 5) first before surgery. It is a systemic chemo. Followed by dedicated liver chemo. Then finally surgery to prevent any further metastasis.
