On September 11, 2007, I also underwent surgery for Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I am going on 7 years as a survivor and on January 17, 2014, I went in to see my oncologist because I began to hurt again in the same breast that I had a lumpectomy surgery done. My oncologist prescribed some antibiotic Levofloxacin (Levaquin) 500mg once a day because he sad that my breast look like Mastisis or Cellulitis due to after radiation therapy from the treatment in 2007. Please ask your doctor about the side effects of radiation after a partial mastectomy. I am hurting so badly right now since my surgery on January 29, 2014 to remove another lump that has grown in the same breast. No one understand the hurting that I am dealing with and they all tell me that my nipple is itching, sore, swollen and inflamed because it is healing. I pray that by me sharing my experience with you and others that may be reading about your journey is helping you and not being a discouragement. God Bless and I am praying that all goes well for you. None of our journeys will be the same.

I have/had Inflammatory Breast cancer, which mimics mastitis. This is a very aggressive, fast moving type of cancer and many women are misdiagnosed as having mastitis. By the time they have gone through two rounds of anti-biotics trying to fight the mastitis, the cancer has spread beyond the breast into the lymph nodes. Please have this checked out as soon as you can, like today if you can. I will be praying for you. ((()))'s
