Clinical Trial (immunotherapy prior to surgery): minor joint pain, destroyed primary tumor prior to surgery, but a tiny satellite tumor was found during the biopsy of the lobe.

I had the procedure about 6 years ago and it hurt for a few weeks, but overall it went very well. I had my right middle lobe removed.

Do you have anything specific you are thinking about? There came a time later that an open lobectomy was considered which I fought every way I could. It was cancelled when Keytruda shrunk node so much it was gone before I started chemoradiotherapy. I wanted another robotic vats procedure. I have had a kidney removed and a masectomy (3 primary unrelated cancers). This was not easy but doable. The 4 incision sites reminded me they were there for quite awhile but again, wonderful compared to the ugly open surgery.

I had LRL done via VATS. Was in hospital for 4 days then rode home over 200 miles on day of release. You should not do any heavy pushing, pulling or lifting for 6 weeks. You'll feel better within a week or so, but you're still healing. I slept in my recliner with a soft pillow for the first week as it was too hard to pull up from the bed. If they do the spirometer with you, do it at home too. You can buy one inexpensively at a pharmacy or even Amazon. You can do this!

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): I had adjuvant therapy after surgery on 12/20. I could only receive one cycle, hearing impaired, no memory of days 4-7 after treatment. Last scan 5/20 no evidence of disease.
