My first diagnosis for Hodgkins Lymphoma came back 6 months after stopping treatments. Another round of chemo took care of it and I was clean for 18 years, then another form of cancer decided to join me. So, yes it can, doesn't mean it will. But then again we might get another form of cancer, or another disease, (heart, diabetes, alzheimer's, etc) so the best thing to do is try to not dwell on it and enjoy being done with treatments and try to live life when you are done. We wish you the best.

Sadly yes. I was first diagnosed in 2006 and am doing treatment now after coming out of remission. You get stronger each time you have to fight. You know what to expect and you cherish each day and everyone in your life. Do fear tomorrow just live for today.

Unfortunately if ONE cell is left it can start to grow again. BUT of course we always have cancer cells in our body and the system keeps it under control. SO the hope is to reduce the cancer to very small levels and hope the immune system does the rest. That's how an antibiotic works also....Good Luck!
