I wouldn't even consider going any where else. I am lucky that I live in the Houston area and work for Baylor College of Medicine, so I've known lots of people who have gone there and I know some of the physicians and nurses who work there. I never expected to be a patient. I LOVE THEM!! I have a TEAM of people to rely on and take care of me. Within 2 weeks the nurses knew me by name when I walked into the waiting room. It took me much longer to learn who they were. Any time I have a question, I get an answer. They knew I was scared, and they took care of me. Yes, sometimes the waits are long and the constantly changing treatment plans are frustrating, but that's any where you go. I have one of the specialists in the nation on my care team and I trust them implicitly!

I have a friend that has been under treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Tx. My husband is right down the road at the Veterans Hosp. Both use Baylor doctors. Can not ask for better care. Our doctor is a professor at Baylor and gives time at the VA and MD Hospitals. I feel we are in good hands. The only thing I have to consider (if needed) is that the clinics (affiliated with MD or otherwise) and the Veterans Hosp. do not do clinical trials. If my husbands cancer goes that way...we would have to get accepted to MD Anderson for Target Therapy or Clinical Trials. I feel this is an important question to ask; when picking your treatment facility.

Their offices in Houston have been very helpful to me. I went with a different provider, but they still offer a source of information and help. One thing I know about them for sure is, they know how to get your insurance company to move!

Oh No (Problem with doctor): Doctor not prepared for appointment, argumentative, uncooperative. Time for a change
