They had me get a child's soft tooth brush and to even use WARM water on it before brushing. I do use a dry mouth toothpaste. They suggest i run my toothbrush through the dishwasher weekly to disinfect it. I also got the miracle mouth wash.

I gargled with baking soda, salt, and water. I also had the Miracle Mouthwash or something similar. I had radiation to my left lower jaw, and I had needed dental work. Healing is impaired with radiation, so I had all my lower teeth pulled. I am glad it healed, but am still having problems with the fit of the denture (lower dentures are always difficult to fit), I hope they heal fast for you! Best of luck!

I had mouth sores so bad that the skin would just peel from the inside of my mouth! I couldn't eat or drink. My oncologist perscribed a med (sorry, I don't remember what it was). The med worked, but it upset my stomach badly, so I had to choose the lesser of 2 evils. I ended up taking half dose and it worked out.

I just started taking Afinitor & Aromasin on Monday Jan 7th, does anyone have any experience with these 2 drugs used in combination? They are pricy about $9,000.00 per month to take. My oncologist was adament about me taking these rather than go back regular chemo.

I live very short term now, as Xmas draws closer I ask for gift cards so if something happens my wife can use them. My son walked away from me & my wife in july. That has been difficult to deal with plus the stage 4 cancer.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): The mental aspect of stage 4 cancer has been very hard. Noone to talk about your feelings as you go through chemo and the various scans assoctiated with stage 4 cancer.

I was on Faslodex for 5 months a horomal therpy drug. I had a PET scan on 12/14/12. The cancer in my bones has come bace back in my hips and left shoulder and a couple of areas. I am going to start Afinitor sometime after the 1st of year with another drug. Afinitor is very expensive about $10,000 a month from what I have told. It is made by Novartis.

Is anyone fimilar with this drug? It was approved in july of 2012.
