Drug or Chemo Therapy (I am in a clinical trial with two, non-chemo drugs. the cycle is three pills every morning for two weeks, and an infusion once a week for three weeks (overlapping). then 2 weeks off and start the cycle again. After just 2 cycles, my PET/CT scan showed ): The nausea has been worse than expected so my appetite and weight fluctuate. It takes a week after the last infusion for my taste and appetite to come back, and then I eat and live normally until I start the next cycle. But the success of the treatment makes the effects bearable.

Welcome to this great group. I too was diagnosed with AITL (stage IV) a little over two years ago, but didn't have any active disease or need to start treatment until about 4 or 5 months ago. i am in a clinical trial here in NYC and am happy to say that after only a couple of cycles of treatment I have no active disease and am in complete remission. But I will continue with treatment for a few more months and then decide next steps. As we all know, durability of response and risk of relapse are the key questions. Feel free to reach out if you ever want.

All the best. i was diagnosed with AITL (a form of PTCL) two years ago, with no active disease, but it recently became active and was re-categorized as PTCL with T Follicular Helper Cells, which is even more unusual. Just started a clinical trial (non-chemo) and hoping for the best. For both of us.
