It's difficult to watch a loved one go through this horrible disease. I often say it's harder on the caregiver than it is on the pateint. My wife wanted so bad to take this all away but she couldn't. Being there for your Mom is the best thing you can do.

Just as my sister(sheilaf) finds your story inspiring, I do as well. I also have more hope for my mom.

Nights are the hardest when I lay down to close my eyes. All I think about is how much my mother means too me.

Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): Was informed on 01/10/2013 that my mothers cancer had spread to her lymphnodes. I am praying that God will do what is needed with his healing hands. She visits her oncologist to discuss treatment on 01/14/2013. I am praying there is nothing but positive things to say about her treatment. I am so scared.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): My mother was to have her right lung removed (that is where the tumor resides) on 01/10/2013. They went in and seen the cancer had spread to the lymphnodes and the Pneumonectomy was then cancelled.

Oh No (Diagnosed): My heart sunk when I received the call that my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. I am so scared and I really do not know how to cope. I am trying to stay positive and know that God does have a plan. She survived Bacterial Meningitis in April 2011, I know she can beat this too. I cannot imagine my life without my mother. She has taught me true strength and shown me the meaning of true love.
