Ditto what Abrub said, are you seeing an appendix cancer specialist? I was also diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2011 and fortunately, the oncological gynecologist recognized it as appendix cancer when he performed the hysterectomy. I was referred to a specialist, who operated on me. I'm currently in remission, and have scans every 3 months.

Hi Ponzlaw, so sorry you are going through this. I also have appendiceal cancer, and would add to what Angelstar said, please, please see an appendix cancer specialist. This is a rare cancer, indeed, and despite what they might say, oncologists and "regular" surgeons do not have the knowledge required to treat this. Sloan Kettering should be able to help you in this regard, as I believe there is at least one such specialist there. Good luck to you, and please let us know how it's going. I was diagnosed 5 years ago, and thanks to a specialist, I am still here.
