Well, well, well. Cancer. The gift that keeps on giving.

Something pops up every 3 years; weird. ACL surgery in 2010, cancer treatment in 2013, heart attack in 2016, and now in 2019 lung scarring (IPS - idiopathic pulmonary thrombosis - from all the radiation/chemo, pneumonia, bronchitis, and asthma over the past 50 years).

    >sigh

In 2002 when I had Stage I breast cancer, no one Stage I was prescribed chemo. I had a lumpectomy and 33 radiation treatments, plus Tamoxifen, which I didn't continue. I also didn't have the HER2 test then.

I felt the news story was mis leading. They should have clarified that it didn’t apply to women under age 50 or women with tumor larger than 1 inch. I’m 41, her2-, er,pr+, bra a-, stage 1, grade 2 and got my hopes up. Oncologist said it doesn’t apply to me as my tumor is 1.25 inches

Mofields, it may not be our decision as far as insurance coverage. If national insurance becomes everybody's insurance, they will probably only cover what's recommended, more like other countries' insurance.
