Considering myself extremly lucky today.... 6 rounds of chemo down and only 2 left!!!! My doc feels I'm cancer free and in remission all reports say the same. I've never been the person to take anything lying down so with the help of family (who is four hundred miles away) and some of the best friends in the world I AM GONNA BEAT THIS!!!!! I have and always will live my life like there is no tomorrow :D

Side Effects (Hair loss (alopecia)): I already knew that I was going to lose my hair but when it started I have to be honest I was in shock to say the least. I was prepared for this... a friend of mine took me shopping for wigs before I started my chemo... but when the first clump of my hair came out, I put my hair in a ponytail and wouldn't touch it for a day and a half. When I finally got the nerve I took it down and started brushing and WOW I never knew I had that much hair! I called in my best friend and she cut my hair into a bob and I started trying on my wigs. I have to say it was fun and uplifting to have hair that I couldn't have before, I'm continuing trying on new styles just to have fun with it. I love it when I go out and people don't know who I am because of my hair :)
