I too have Fibro. I liked my old port in '06 better than the Power Port. I too have intermittent pain, no fever. Yes, they can move some for whatever reason. Mine is raised & shows through my T-shirt. My pacemaker & old port were flat in the flesh. This port also clogs. Everyone says that is common. I also have an infusion every 3 weeks & a CT Scan every 3 months so really need it so I just deal with the twinges & discomfort. If the pain is getting worse, check with your PCP for a second opinion.

Wow petieagnor, we sound like the same person... though I don't have a pacemaker. My port has never clogged. Mine isn't flat, but that doesn't matter to me very much. My oncologist has moved me from CT scan every 3 months to between 4-6. I just got mine today... always a twinge of the what ifs!!!

I actually want to go back to the nurse practitioner. She is super thorough. She'd probably know something.

BTW -My 4yo grandgirl gave me a good whack on my chest today BARELY missing the port. That would have hurt SO much!!! YIKES,

You can live with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.

I am now officially a 5 year survivor. I have no sign of cancer except scars. Blessings to you all.

Grandy, congratulations on reaching this milestone. It is encouraging to know that you are doing so well. The start of your journey is very similar to mine. I had a mammogram in Sept. 2013 that showed nothing. I felt a lump in Nov. 2013. It turned out to be a 4cm tumor. I'm coming up on 4 years since my diagnosis, and thankful that I am doing well. Take care.

Wow, that is similar! Congrats to you too Beachbum!

I think now they use the ultrasound ones a lot more. My breast were dense, and my cup size big, and the tumor was way to the outer side.

      I’m glad we're here!!!
