Hi. My name is Toba and I am 62. I had a Whipple in April 2012. I am currently getting a Sando Injection every 3 weeks. I also take 6,000 Creon (Pancreatic Enzymes.) I have (Thank God) Never had Chemo or radiation. I wish we could have met under other circumstances. In any event, if you need to talk, feel free. I am not a full of info but have a good shoulder, and kind heart.

You say you were diagnosed about 2 years ago. Why surgery "now" and chemo/radiation now?" I had my Whipple almost 3 yers ago and no chemo or radiation. Just curious. Hope you are responding well to treatment.

    hanginin99 shared an experience

Side Effects (Diarrhea): Some mornings I can wake up and before I eat anything I can go 2-3 times. Then after morning coffee and breakfast usually like 4-5 more. It is not life threatening but an inconvenience. I am so grateful to be alive. I was diagnosed with a nueroendocrine tumor on top of my pancreas. I had to have 45% of my pancreas removed, duodenum, be "replumbed" and had areas on my liver that had to be ablatted. I would really like to be able to talk to someone that has undergone a similar experience and would understand and be able to identify.

I've had similar experiences. I've had 3 liver resections, a whipple, and a lung surgery among many other glitches along the way. Living with cancer as a chronic illness for 5 years now.

Hi, Are you on Creon? I have to take that after my pancreas resection. It keeps my body from flushing fat, or diarrhea.
