Nice to meet you. I actually have myelofibrosis but because it's not the list I have to identify with AML-and low & behold, that's what is happening, my disease is transforming to AML quite quickly. Myelofibrosis morphs into AML in 20% of patients. The stem cell transplant team met with me today for the second time. They actually found several matches on the Be the Match list so they'd like to do the SCT in November, after I have a battery of tests & get the port put in. Moving fast, I'm numb.

Thank you!- From upstate NY, (ok way up north). Just found out I have several matches. Team scheduling SCT for November because of disease progression & transforming from myelofibrosis to AML.. Myelofibrosis is a type of leukemia, 20% morph into AML. Myelofibrosis is scarring of the bone marrow, which eventually becomes fibrotic & can't produce RBCs, WBCs, platelets. Things are moving faster than I thought they would.
