Hi everyone! I'm a ten year childhood cancer survivor! I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was eight. Since then, I have mentored children going through what I did, and love to connect with them about what they feel, because I know how scary it is at that age.

Loss (Lost loved one): My two best friends in this world were my moms parents. Five years ago, they passed away two weeks apart from cancer. It was the hardest two weeks of my life. They were the ones who got me through my treatment, so it was really hard to see them lose the fight to dancer. But, i know that a part of them lives within me.

Side Effects (Skin changes): I have a few side effects from my chemo. It did some damage to my kidneys and liver, but nothing serious. I also have darkened streaks on my skin caused by the medications I was on. The spots are mainly on my thighs, shoulders and stomach.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Other): Chemotherapy can really drain everything out of you. The best thing to do is stay postive and find something to enjoy everyday:)

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): I underwent two surgeries. One to remove my tumor and place a port in my body, and the other to remove my port.
