Those Ensure drinks are awful after a while. Lots of things with gravey in a liquidizer; it is amazing how creative you can be, especially with deserts. If you mix up food and freeze it in really small portions he can have it on demand in a form of soup, little and often is the key if his swallow is really difficult, it is really trial and error to see what goes down well.

      Hope this helps,

Last year I had a cancerous tumor on my tongue, and had to have mostly liquids. Smoothies are great, using different fruits and maybe ice cream for some calories, I actually ate a lot of noodle casseroles with meat in them by purifying them. Once I got past how it looked, they were good, Like Steve said, it will be trial and error to see what doesn't irritate and go with small, frequent meals, Best of luck! Hugs your way!

Oh No (Diagnosed): Husband's Diagnosis: Stage II/III oral cancer of the tongue, with microscopic spread into lymph nodes. Treatment plan: partial glossectomy and neck dissection, followed by potential radiation if more than microscopic spread in lymph nodes.
