I know that I can't answer your question, but I do think I can give you some ideas about how to determine who the best doctor for you is. When my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, we immediately began researching on line. We found a couple of foundations that support pancreatic cancer research and contacted them for guidance. One referred us to John Hopkins hospital as the best place for treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Since that wasn't an option because of location, we contacted them and they gave us the name of the doctors in our area who they considered the best. We also got the name of another doctor from our family physician.
We were able to get appointments quickly with all three doctors. We talked extensively with each of them, and I think any of the three would have been good. My husband had a definite preference for Dr. Talimonti, and we went with him. My husband had very successful surgery and we're glad we did the research and selected the doctor we did.
Where do you live? If you're near Chicago, you might want to try Dr. Talimonti.
