Hi MarcM, check out PCIPLAN.com or PCIP.gov depending on state. My mother has been self-employed for 30 years and a couple years ago due to the recession let her health insurance go thinking she would soon be on medicare. She was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma of the bone in August and had no insurance. It has been a battle but she now has the Pre-existing Condition Insurance. Check it out - I hope it helps.

Hi Moly72, my mom (63) was diagnosed two months ago with Epithelioid Angiosarcoma of bone. She currently is receiving chemo and we will know next month after her third treatment if the chemo is slowing things down. Surgery wasn't an option and right now radiation isn't an option so we are hoping the chemo does something good :)
Saw that you are going to have another surgery. I hope that they get all they can and you can find some relief.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Pain medicine): The pain has been the worse part for my mom and for me as a caregiver. I just wish I could take some of it for her. It has been two months since she was diagnosed and she is still trying different drugs to get to an even level while still having quality of life. Morphine helped some but she was a zombie. Currently working with different levels of Fentanyl patches and they seem to be working better but the patches get messed up and you worry if your loved one is getting the full dosage.
