Any sort of movement helped me. Weight bearing exercise, preferably, but if that isn't feasible, massage and stretching. Just 5-10 minutes every couple of hours is what helped me the most. I would think keeping the diabetes in control would be a big factor too.

I am looking for some help for my father. he is stage 4 liver & brain cancer, 71 years old. he hasnt been abled to walk safely since the last chemo, and its worsening over the last 2 weeks. this is a man who refuses wheelchairs and only uses the walker begrudgingly. anyone out there who has experience with crippling neuropathy or any suggestions at all would be appreciated, :)

Drug or Chemo Therapy: Dad had 6 months of various chemo drugs, it took a full day on iv, sitting in the hospital . He experienced awful side effects, the worst of them is that he can no longer walk safely. neuropathy in both legs. if you are on chamo and you start to get numbness, see your doctor immediately, you might need to change drugs!

Procedure or Surgery: 2 chemo embolizations to the liver tumor. went much better than even the doctor expected, and we've killed off 2 cm of a 10 cm tumor:)
