Thanks for your response...it was about experience and not opinion, as the opinions vary widely. Keep up the good fight. I am a newbie...only been a little over a year from diagnosis and 10 months from STC.

I am on 10 mg. It is good to know that 5mg might work. Although I will be on maintenance forever I will ask my Dr. if we can try 5mg.

I was diagnosed in October 2011.I took 15 rounds of Revlimid starting with 25 mgs and eventually working my way down to10 mgs by February 2013.I had my transplant in May of 2013.I also decided not to go on maintenance. Two weeks ago I went for my yearly checkup and the biopsy showed myeloma cells. Now I really have no choice but to go back on Revlimid. It is a very personal decision that you must make.I made the wrong decision and now I am facing the consequences.

My stem cell doctor said it this way, " You have 3 choices:

      1) no ongoing treatment. In my experience, people who choose no treatment regret it when the MM comes back and it will come back. They say I should have done something to delay this,

      2) 10 mg of Revlimid which is the standard treatment,

      3) 5 mg of Revlimid which will be easier on your body. If you were 5 years younger (I'm 73), I would give you 10 mg. But you're not. If you were my mother, I'd give you 5 mg. It will be easier on your body and we can increase it if needed."

I chose the 5 mg. That was in September, 2013. So far, so good. Yes, I have some neuropathy but I had some before as well. Let's just say that the side effects are manageable.
