Janet..until they say the big C just put it out of your mind..it really could be anything..

I was put under twice in one week with a huge incision across my throat. Quacks at Northwestern in Chicago..real quacks.

Other cancer facilities do it from the side..I have a huge permanent scar right across my throat.

there seems to be a big break through in types of cancer and targeted treatment...I don't understand it and if anyone can give more information on how this affects lung cancer...I would appreciate it...my first round of chemo gave me maybe 6 months of peace but I am back into pain and suffering and have just heard that my results from the new testing will result in a change to a pill for treatment

Go the the cancer commons site..Bonnie j. ADario site..Lungevity..All have important information about lung cancer..The best source is your Oncologist who should only be one who is an absolute expert in L.C. because it's so complex.

First of all, I hope I am answering in the right place. Thank you for the words of encouragement. It is a good idea to keep a notebook, I am going to do that and as of now, I will start writing down my questions. I go in tomorrow for the biopsy so we'll see what happens! All the best to you

Here is fine, or you can comment back on my comment -- either way works. Please let us know how things go tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!

Thank you! After reading your post, I feel so much better and I do have a better understanding of all of this. I suppose the waiting part is the hardest and also going from Dr to Dr...I will update as soon as I know.

Thank you, I know now that until I have the biopsy done, I will know for sure. They did mention that if they couldn't get enough through the biopsy, next step would be to go through the neck area. So I shall wait and see and I will most definitely be patient thinking positive thoughts!

You're very welcome, Janet. So much is out of our control, but we CAN control our thoughts and actions. You're in charge... not the doctors or other well meaning people. Listen to the small, still voice within...it will serve you well. <3
