With some chemo regimens, it does occur. Since they are a form of hair, they also can be affected. Once chemo stops, they usually grow back fairly normally, but there is no guarantee that they will be as beautiful as before! Which regimen(s) have you/are you receiving?

My fingernails were affected by chemo . I didn't lose any but they became very brittle and ridged. And six years later, they don't really grow long anymore. They break very easy.

I did lose my big toe nails. Which took forever to come back. All part of the fun of chemo.

My daughter Hallie cut her hair when she found out I had cancer. Bless her heart!

You obviously did a great job raising such a sweet daughter. I'm sure you're proud of her
