Clinical Trial: Am not on clinical trial, but in looking into them regarding small cell lung cancer, there is not much being offered, particularly if one has gone through chemo already. Who knows where to go to get more information?

Radiation (External radiation ): 15 days of full brain radiation was easy. Doing focused steriotatic to tumor left in brain is next step in January. Don't know if they will do focused radiation to any parts of the lungs or bronchial area after chemo.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy and radiation combined): Feel fine on chemo days (3 days in a row and then wait 21 days). Am going through 5th round of chemo and have 6th round to go. Already gone through 15 days of full brain radiation because of tumor in brain. Will do steriotatic radiation on tumor left in brain after chemo (January). New meds helping with fatigue and nausia. question is what happens after chemo completed in January.

Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): Initial diagnosis of small cell lung cancer was a surprise for someone who only smoked in college, 45 years ago. Learning that it already metastasized to a tumor in the brain was the second surprise, since the only concern I had was a dry irritating cough that developed over the summer of 2011.
