Celebration (Finished treatment): We called it VoC day...Victory over Cancer party. On June 28th the Dr gave me the news, Number's good... Chemo is over!!!!! My Husband, Kids and Sisters were with me to hear this news. Phone calls were made, by the time I got home, only a matter of maybe 20 minutes, our driveway & yard was full!!!! Champagne was on Ice and the party began. Including a sign. These people of mine work fast!!!! Also has silly string they arranged on by head for hair. lol Got pix of that, too much fun!

Side Effects (Fatigue (tiredness)): Side affects? The list is long...and after each treatment they seem to be a bit different. In no particular order, constipation, Diarrhea, eating problems, Fatigue x10, yikes, Hair Loss, really thought I understood that and it wasn't gonna be a big deal, well let me tell you that 1st time I ran my hands thur my hair and BIG clump came out, took me to my knees! now one more surprised by my reaction than I. Just the 1st time tho, after that I just it in stride. When time to shave it, I got good advice, not to shave it all the was as it was still gonna fall out & shaving it make it sharp, then all those sharp shards (needle like) would end up in PJ"s, bedding ect. We actually had a "shearing party" with family & friends to cut it off, One of my dear friend's actually shaved her head. I tried to talk her out of if, but other friends convinced me it was what she wanted to do, so I should just go with the flow. We had a blast, had all kinds of silly wigs, took pic's drank wine..well they did, I didn't. So moral to the story of this side affect, let your self indulge in a good cry when it 1st starts to happen...then have fun with it. On to the other side effects, HOT FLASHES straight from XXX!!!!, memory changes, Mouth sores & dryness, nausea, nerve damage (still dealing with that!) Toes only, Thank God not my fingers, Another big one for me dehydration.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Started Chemo the 1st week of Feb. Well that didn't go well. Had a bad reaction to the drug, B/P dropped to 80/42, got sick, almost passed out, leg cramps from XXX. The staff was on top of me in seconds. Can't tell you what they did, but brought me out of it immediately. My Husband had going with me. I had convinced him I was fine to go back home and take our dogs out for their morning run. When the bad reaction happened someone from the staff called him and he was back in a flash, just lucky we live very close to the Cancer Center. He never let me stay there alone again. Had to chg the chemo drug the next time and all went well then. Well as well as Chemo can go.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): I had surgery on Dec 2nd 2010. Removed ovaries, debulking, Removal of fluid from abdomen and implant of port. Wow, that took a bit to recover from. Again my Family & Friends gathered around me a took such good care of me. I've said it before & will say it again. I simply don't know how people with no one at they're side gets thur this.
