Decision Point (Other): Deciding whether radiation or surgery was more agonizing than the actual surgery. Decision is basically left up to patient to make unlike many medical situations where doctor tells you what to do. Once I decided surgery it then was whether open or robotic. I chose robotic after much research and phone calls and experience of surgeon was a major factor.

Procedure or Surgery (Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy): Surgery and recovery went almost exactly as printed materials given by surgeon. After first night did not take pain pills. Couple days uncomfortable but after that more soreness than pain. Again, booklet from surgeon was in my case exactly what transpired. Did have some side effects and still to this day but cancer removal was first priority and side effects were to be accepted if happened.

Oh No (Diagnosed): Doctor told me day of biospsy had calcium deposits in prostate and was extremely confident it was not cancer. Then one week later informs me I had stage 2 borderline stage 3 cancer.
