Paul Stamets talks about his mother's experience with turkey tail, as a complement to chemo, in this TEDMED talk: http://youtu.be/pXHDoROh2hA. This is, of course, anecdotal. But there are other reputable sources that point to potential benefits of turkey tail, and, more specifically, Polysaccharide-K (PSK). Note: I am not an expert on the subject, and I'd be remiss if I did not stress that what I have read on the subject points to PSK as a complementary therapy/supplement, not a replacement for more traditional approaches.

Has anyone had luck with turkey tail mushroom supplements or tea? Longer time between treatment? remission?

I live in the Seattle area where we have Bastyr University and Clinic. It is alternative medicine, and highly regarded. They have gotten FDA Approval to do trials on breast and prostate cancer using held the chemo drugs as usual, in conjunct with turkey tail mushroom. That means half the side effects. The results have been good. I have endometrial cancer so I was not a candidate, but when I'm done I plan to get on Paul Stamets line of supplements to boost my immune system and hopefully keep from reoccurrence!!

Chemo round #6 coming up on the 15th, then he gets a break! Has been feeling pretty good pain under control. Still feels like a bad dream, hoping for a good spring so he can go see family and welcome our new grandson( due to arrive anytime). Thanks to everyone for their good wishes

Not quite sure what to say, feel a little lost, I guess I'm still trying to absorb all the changes in our lives and figure how best to move forward.
