I was able to get the VA to give me the materials to do the TB sputum collection at home. Turned them in last Thursday - now we wait. In the meantime, he was prescribed an antibiotic for 10 days. Day 4 he started to feel better. Think I may have talked him into continuing chemo after all - well depending on the TB results. I have no idea of the interactions with all the medications. All this waiting sucks.

Yep, sometimes the waiting is worse than what you're waiting for.

Drove 50 miles yesterday to the VA hospital for further TB testing. After 3 hours of hanging out in the isolation room, they tell my husband he's being admitted for possibly 2 weeks. And that the doctor that made us come wouldn't be in until Monday. Well, Chris wasn't having that. He straight up told the doctor he was NOT going to even stay overnight. I was mortified. We both had to sign a notice he was leaving AMA. I'm not sure what I can do to make him realize the severity of this all. He just figures since he's sick, then the whole family is anyways.

Oh No (TB & Chemo): TB test came back positive. My husband has decided he doesn't want to take Chemo anymore. Great :(
