I am a breast cancer survivor for 10 months and have recently learned that I have ovarian cancer. Waiting for biopsy results to come in so not sure if this has spread. I am recovering from surgery and trying so hard to maintain a positive attitude. I havent yet completely taken this all in. Would love to hear from some of you who have had similar experiences especially on how you have coped. Throughout my whole breast cancer journey, I remained strong, positive and focused on doing everything I could to beat the beast. I was even consoling my friends who took my diagnosis hard. This time its different...I feel as if I have been kicked down hard and not sure if I have the strenght to fight back. I feel so tired and beaten.

You beat this once and you can fight hard to beat it again. We have many cancer survivors who have death with cancer more than once. You might want to also post this in our Questions section by clicking on Questions above in the purple bar.

Radiation (External radiation ): The actual radiation treatments went better than expected....My skin did not burn and I kept up with energy levels.....that is until they stopped. The fatigue hit me like a ton of bricks and lasted for a good 5 months post therapy.

Drug or Chemo Therapy: chemotherapy relates to breast cancer. Waiting for all biopsy results to come in on the ovarian cancer.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): Needed a complete histarectomy due to 10cm mass on right ovary. My surgeon felt certain that mass was fluid based. Although everything looked good to the naked eye, the cystic mass contained a small section of tiny cancer cells under microscope. Surgery was therefore more extensive then initially planned. I develop a low tolerance to narcotic pain meds making initial recovery difficult. I am currently 8 days out of surgery and recuperating at home.
