Side Effects (Nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy)): Something else I hope is not permanent. Real issues in my feet with pain and numbness... Mostly toes and balls of my feet.

Side Effects (Hair loss (alopecia)): It hurt when it came out. Started about 16 days after first chemo. Ended up getting a buzz and a wig. Don't really wear the wig much - mostly just caps. Losing hair in the winter is COLD!

So Chemo #2 is in the books. Certainly went smoother than the first one. No restless leg reaction to the steroid and benedryl. I slept for awhile. I still had a minor reaction to the Taxol feeling like my throat was closing up. Not as bad and it went away when they slowed the drip down. Not feeling too terrible today... wonder if a lot of the issues with fatigue were the surgery recovery vs the chemo. Tomorrow is the big test - will the leg pain return.

On a good note, we got a new dog over the weekend! We had to put our dog down while I was in the hospital after surgery because he got REALLY aggressive and snapping at people. So finally decided it was time to have another furbaby in the house. She-Ra is a shar-pei mix. She is awesome. It gives me something to get up an moving for... and a snuggle buddy during the day. She is 2 and we got her from a rescue place. So she was housebroken and knows some basic commands. Just nice to have a dog again. Its even fun to play fetch outside in the yard with her when its 15 degrees and 4" of snow.
