misskitty mentioned having a card to hand out with the link to WhatNext. I played around with the idea and came up with this card that I could pass on.

It was a wonderful anniversary. We requested that our children not have a party for us. We just wanted a family dinner. The 5:15 Mass at Holy Family was for out intentions -- and father gave us a blessing and blessed our rings again. I was a little nervous getting up there -- afraid I would trip or something. Following the Mass, there was the family dinner at the Black River Valley Club. It was an excellent choice as we had a private dining room. There was a TV playing a CD of pictures of our entire lives -- some of the pictures were quite entertaining. The room was decorated so nice with the Gold accents. The food and service were excellent. Corleen Wilson made the cake and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious. It was so heart warming to look at a room filled with our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren -- all the result of our love and our marriage 50 years ago. We want to thank our wonderful son Ed and his wife Patty -- and our beautiful daughter Kim and her husband Pat for the best Anniversary Celebration that anyone could ever wish for. We love them so much!!!!!!!!

In answering the question on which side effect was the worst, I have to say it was the emotional aspect of the isolation of being in the "cancer world". It was not "being bald" - it was the emotional state attached to it. My daughter, Kim, was my angel on earth while my daughter, Wendy, was my angel in heaven. My husband and my son were my caring "guards" -- but I was still alone in my emotions. The "baldness" was a daily reminder of the reality that I indeed did have cancer!
