Hello. My mom was just diagnosed with Stage IV endometrial cancer. It's spread from the uterus to her spinal cord and her knee and possibly her lung. They are treating it with external radiation to the knee and spine in hopes it will shrink the tumors to relieve the horrible pain she's in. Then they will follow radiation with chemotherapy in hopes it will slow the cancer and stop it from spreading. They say chemo may not work. The doctors say this cancer isn't curable and that she'll be on some sort of treatment the rest of her life. She is 71 and in good shape. I'm interested in finding out more about clinical trials and how we can get more information and when is the right time to enroll a patient in a trial. Thanks.
