Hi there! I live in D/FW too, am about your age (OK, I'm 49) and was diagnosed with Stage IIA breast cancer exactly 2 years ago. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation, and am doing very well now. It's not easy - but you'll get through it! Stay strong!

Did chemo zap away my cartilage?

No experience with this, but chemo can do different things to different people. It does have a drying out effect and I can see this would be likely to happen. Whatever the cause, you'll hopefully feel better and with newer surgery (from the front of the body), hopefully, you'll recover and feel great soon!

I wish I knew something to tell you but I don't except that all western medicine seems to be a trade off for something horribly else.

Hoping for the best you can possibly be for you.

Hi! I live nearby in Southlake and went through a similar experience to yours, 2 years ago. We are about the same age too. OK, I'm 49 :) I also did 35 radiation treatments, and they really didn't bother me at all - just a hassle to go so many times. Best of luck to you! I am following you, if you need anything just reach out to me!
