it's the prednisone crash. that was really bad for me when i was doing R-CHOP. now i have a recurrence and will be taking rituximab and bendamustine, starting in march. it remains to be seen what that will do. sometimes imfeel like a lab rat...

It was the same for me. After my 5th treatment I forgot to start the Prednisone at home (since I only took it for 5 days after each treatment). I felt absolutely horrible two days later and spent four days on the couch. I didn't catch my mistake until the symptoms had subsided. I can honestly say the steroids make a huge difference in the side effects!

Oh No (Tumors have not completely resolved , some remain): Two more rounds of R-CHOP to finish resolving tumors which have shrunken from 20cm to 5cm

Procedure or Surgery (PET scan): went well, learned that is is best to remain quiet while radioactive material is diffusing in system as to insure quality results of scan.

The center where I get my scans has a tiny room, about 6' x 6', that has only a recliner and a small cabinet with the lab supplies. I always bring a big, soft blanket and fuzzy socks, then once the material is inserted they turn off the lights. I cozy myself into the chair and nap. Did they tell you also to avoid sugar, carbs, and starches for 48 hours prior?
