    Hi Jim
Sorry I haven't welcomed you sooner. Unfortunately I have been busy with some noncancer issues
Cancer survivors should not have to face cancer alone that is why we at WhatNext are here for you. Continue to fill in your journey so we can get to know you better. Also be sure to visit the BLOG and PINBOARD pages. You will find a lot of Information and Inspiration and even a little laughter on those pages.
I am a 10 year survivor of stage IV esophageal cancer (as well as two other nasty cancers) When I was diagnosed with EC I was the same age that you are now.
I won't say that that survival is easy but it is doable. And definitely worth the effort,

We have an opportunity for you to make your voice heard with our partner Rare Patient Voice (www.rarepatientvoice.com) to be invited to qualify for surveys and phone interviews for projects that apply to you and if you do qualify you will be compensated on a $100 per hour basis. There are pharma companies that would like to hear about your experiences with certain drugs or side effects. Your information might help develop the next generation of drugs.

Rare Patient Voice will send you an email inviting you to join their panel. If you say no or don't respond to them at all you will not be added to their panel.

If you say yes be assured your information is only shared with Rare Patient Voice and is treated with the highest degree of confidentiality. If at any time you want to opt-out of receiving invitations to projects you can do so immediately.

I am an esophageal cancer stage III survivor of 20 years. We created the Esophageal Cancer Education Foundation www.fightec.org in part to help patients with their journey through this disease.
We have co-authored a book called 100 Questions and Answers about Esophageal Cancer published by Jones and Bartlett and you can get at any book store.
We have also published a book called Esophagectomy Post Surgical Guide Questions & Answers published by Authorhouse that you can get at any bookstore or on our web site www.fightec.org
We have support groups that meet by conference call on a monthly basis. Patients calling in with quality of life questions and hearing how other patients have handled a specific issue. Go to www.fightec.org and click on services to get more information.
We also have a conference call support group for recurrence patients. This group meets on a monthly basis and we have a medical oncologist that joins the call. If you are interested please send an email to [email redacted]
We also have a 24hour hotline to help with quality of life questions as well.
We have a You Tube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDkh7_H9BOnNASdmG4pdF0g . If you subscribe to this channel, you will receive notice each time we add a video about esophageal cancer to it.
    Good luck
