Side Effects (Depression/Anxiety): Ryan, my husband, has constant diarrhea, fatigue, stomach pain, and nausea. He is depressed all the time--we are working on finding a med that will help him with the depression, and he has countless meds to help with all the other side effects.

Decision Point (Where to go for care): GIST is very rare and finding an "expert" was impossible. We settled for Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Our oncologist there is definately NOT an expert in GIST, but she and CTCA in general specialize in late stage, hard to treat, and rare forms of cancer.
