Hello .... looks like I share the same diagnosis with your family/friend ... It has been nearly three years since my last treatment, and I'm now cancer-free. God bless you & your friend along the journey.

Hi Joachima, it was actually your story that prompted me to join this group. My BFF was diagnosed last week and I was thrilled to see you as a success story after seeing various not-so-great numbers at Pubmed. I am in the states and she is in Canada, so I'm trying to support her from afar as best as I can.

I remember when I was first diagnosed, I really looked forward to hearing the success stories of those who have gone before me. I'm so thankful to God for helping me through some dark times, and for the life that comes with each new day. Your friend is blessed to have a friend like you to support her, even from afar.... being supported & surrounded by our friends & family is so important during times like this.

Hi .... My name is Joachima and I have been cancer-free for 3 years now. It has been quite a journey filled with ups & downs, and with God's grace.

I don't remember the time frame, but it was at least several months of healing before I felt "ok." Also, when I just finished chemo and was waiting to start radiation, my husband had a major heart attack with a side effect of over 12 areas of brain hemorrhaging - required months of rehab for brain injury. So we were caretakers for each other there for a while. But God is faithful and carried us through all of that. We look back and see how He was "lifting us up on His shoulders" as that new Christian song states in their lyrics. So good, so faithful, so awesome is our God! We (my hubby & I) are both celebrating 3 years of healing.

http://youtu.be/4_zcjxDdZ1s from king and country called without you. Tear jerker but shows the marriage relationship.
I think you would like this video after reading this. Thank you both! I haven't lost faith. It's been amost 5 months since chemo etc and I'm not there yet but truly hanging in there. Thanks again!

Thanks! ... Just saw For King and Country in concert last week.... and he gave his testimony but didn't sing this song. They did do "Shoulders" that I referred to in my post.
