So I was so depressed for the past year. I almost dug a hole and jumped in. Two diagnsis of cancers. Just about every woman in my family has died from cancer in thier 40's or early 50's. I was going to accept my fate. I gave up for a moment. I really did. Then I prayed. I found my second wind. I decided to face these mountains. I dont have to die. I deceide that I want to be an old lady. I want to be a grandma, write the great novel, travel the whole deal. No cancer! I win, you dont. Changing diet, working with doctors, now going to start rebounding/exercise. I plan to be a cancer survivor! Dont give up. Scary doesnt have to mean over.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): I am still recovering from the surgery. Still in pain waiting to see him to see the next steps, pathology results, and future treatment plans. Was in the hospital for a while. Had some trouble with pain control. I am really tired. But I do feel like I am on the upswing. I only told the rest of my non neuclear family when I went into the hospital...they were not sure about the outcome I was not fairing so well...but I am still here...
The docs told me to take it easy but I am fighting.. I tried to go back to work. I am going to keep trying to do to live and not giv e into the fatigue. I felt like i was sleeping my life away. So last week, said I am getting up pain vomit aches, dizzy I am not going to let this beat me. I have a young child two kids actully (one is 20, the other 9) I have to fight.

Hi, I was dx this past july after continually and persisting there was something wrong for almost 2yrs now. Seems I have cirrhosis and all GI doc was check liver blood work all the time and tell me I was fine, my levels aren't perfect but not off bad enough to cause the symptoms I was having and sent me on my way saying see you in 6 months as always till I finally went to see another GI doc and explained to him what I had to her and he did and upper endo and found a tumor that was causing my problems and had surgery july 16th to remove with upper endo prodedure and things didn't go so well as he ripped my artery down there and had team to come in late night to go in and tie it off and had 2 blood transfusions in 2 days. afterwards doc kept telling me I was fine as I was complaining still with belly blowing up like I was 9mths pregnant along with vomiting and all the same symptoms but feeling really as if I have no energy level at this point. he even called my wife to tell her I did not have cancer and he got the tumor out. well come to find out my encronolgist seen me and sent me for body scan and seems I do have more but little lower and have seen oncology doc as well who agreed and he sent me to see surgeon who was talking about the whipple thing and the pic he drew didn't look good but got call yesterday from GI doc that did the other EDG with ultrasound and tell me she didn't think it was as big as once thought but scan shows lots of glowing in the area. sorry to go on and on but have to say am little worried as it seems no one knows what type of surgery yet and my niece is an awesome ICU nurse and tells me its possible to open me up and then decide, didn't like that idea as I would like to know just what one is planning. do you mind if I ask what type surgery you had to have and thank you and god bless you in your recovery

Decision Point: So the doctors said that the CLL until it becomes acute is more of a nuisance...it has been the catalyst of my fatigue, female problems, migraines, over all pain. They will work with me on treatment but when they found the tumors on my ampulla and in my dodenum they said that had to be adressed first as there was no cure for small intestine cancer.
