I've just finished my last radiation and thus all the treatment for my Triple Negative Stage 11b breast cancer is over. If I am alive in three years it probably worked but I feel pretty good now. In retrospect the process was more frightening than painful and the loss of all head hair very sad. It was the longest it had every been and I could easily whip it into a ponytail on days I didn't want to fuss. I must admit my hair is even easier to manage now that it is about 1/2" long and dries in just no time.
Now the waiting begins. I know the harrowing threat of cancer turning up somewhere else will eventually diminish as I begin to assimilate into my normal life again and as time passes. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how they handled this?

This would be great to post in our Questions section. You can do this by clicking on Questions in the purple bar above. Also, you may want to read through the journey of @leepenn, a TNBC survivor.

Procedure or Surgery (Lumpectomy): Surgery is always scarey and my doctor was an hour and a half late for my lumpectomy. By the time I was wheeled into surgery, my blood pressure was over 180! Then they finally put me out. Next thing I knew I was breathing oxygen and it was over. There was minimal pain and recovery not bad. I did sleep for almost two days after the surgery but that was great.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't plant a vegetable garden this year and have tried to cut down on some tasks. My husband has been great about helping out and my daughter is all grown up so believe me, I don't do too much. I know the fatigue will pass but it can be so frustrating to not have the energy to make toast.
